Digest of VIEWAPP platform functionality updates
The VIEWAPP digital inspection platform helps to quickly, conveniently and safely inspect objects without unnecessary bureaucracy and visits. We are constantly improving the system based on feedback from users. This digest contains the most important of the latest updates: what's new and how it will make your work even easier.
It was created to make the work of experts easier when returning inspections for review.
Frequently an expert has to write the same comments after checking an inspection - it takes time and effort. To simplify the work, Administrators can create their own message templates for colleagues in a couple of steps.
- In the administrative interface, go to the Comment Dictionaries setting. Add and save the dictionary and its contents - directly standard comments.
- In the settings of each scheme and/or a specific step, bind the required dictionary.
What will the expert see?
When the decision ‘Repeat’ is made, a drop-down list will appear above the usual empty form, clicking on its items will add the selected text to the form. By clicking on several items in succession, you can add 2 or more comments to the form at once. At the same time, when selecting a comment from the list, you can add your own personal instructions to the text.
The number of dictionaries is unlimited, and personalised comment templates can be created for different schemes or steps.
The order of displaying comments by experts will be similar to the order set by the Administrator from the dictionary.
A few more small but very useful improvements have been released recently:
Speeding up the photo taking process for advanced users.
The interface of the mobile application is basically designed to show the examiners the whole process of taking photos in as much detail as possible and to reduce the probability of being sent for a repeat after the examination. However, some users conduct examinations on a regular basis and sometimes in large numbers in a day.
They already have a good understanding of how to move and what angle to choose to ensure a high quality inspection. The main value to them is speed of capture. To address this issue, 2 additional settings have been added to the inspection schemes:
- Allow advanced users to hide step prompts
- Allow power users to skip the confirmation after each step
Once these are activated, in case a user has done 3 or more inspections on 1 specific scheme with these settings (important - not just 3 inspections in a company), a ‘gear’ will appear in the mobile app allowing the user to select options to hide the information.
Archiving multi-inspections
As many people know, for ease of navigation in the mobile app, you can hide inspections by archiving them. Previously, this option was available for each individual exam, including multi-exam content that needed to be archived one at a time. Users now have the option to archive the entire multi-exam with a single button, provided that the person has access to all nested exams, including the root exam.
Webhook about missing an inspection deadline
Information for companies that use Webhooks in their process. Added a new hook about missing an inspection deadline (both ‘execute before’ and ‘check before’). Add it to your notified events, if relevant.
