How VIEWAPP Appeared on Glovo’s Radar: a Report From the Power Up Pitch Session

Alexander Fokin, founder of VIEWAPP, presented the company at the pitch session of the Glovo Power Up program in Spain.
Glovo is a Spanish food and goods delivery service operating in more than 20 countries; since 2022, it has been part of the Delivery Hero group. Power Up is Glovo’s program to support startups and develop innovative ecosystems in the countries where the company operates. As part of the program, regional pitch competitions are held, and today, September 8, five selected teams, including VIEWAPP, presented their projects before an audience of major companies and funds.
The jury was interested in VIEWAPP’s revenue sources and the share of proprietary technology in the product.
After the pitch, VIEWAPP speaker Alexander Fokin commented on what he sees as the current point of intersection with Glovo’s business — in processing returns:
“The scale of the problem with fraudulent returns is now reaching disaster proportions — when customers demand refunds for expired or defective goods and send a photo generated by a neural network, for example, of moldy grapes. Obviously, such items are neither picked up nor inspected, and companies suffer significant losses.
We could integrate our VIEWAPP technology into this process: the user would take a photo of the return directly from the Glovo app, and that would eliminate fakes — with geolocation and other authenticity checks,” Alexander explained.
This case represents a new area of application. VIEWAPP’s technology was originally developed for inspections in insurance, leasing, and the banking sector, but the scenario Fokin described shows broader applicability: the same logic of controlled photo and video capture — with image authenticity verification, geolocation, and anti‑fraud protection — can also be applied to return processing in e‑commerce and delivery. The dialogue with Glovo could become the first step for VIEWAPP to enter a new industry.
As a result of the meeting, A. Fokin agreed with Glovo’s innovation representative to transfer potential product use cases within the company and forward them to relevant stakeholders.
Winners of the regional Power Up stages will receive a place at the global Startup Campus 2026, which will take place on October 6–8 at Glovo’s headquarters, Yellow Park, in Barcelona, with mentoring sessions from the company’s leadership and networking with international venture funds.
