New features and improvements in VIEWAPP: release of the updated Android app

The VIEWAPP team continues to develop the digital inspection platform, making it even more convenient and user-friendly. A new version of the VIEWAPP Android app is now available - with a focus on the convenience of repeatable processes and clarity at every step.

New screen for repeatable processes

One of the key changes is the introduction of a detailed screen dedicated to steps that can be repeated during the inspection process. Users now get significantly more information at each such step:

• displaying the current status of the step;
• explanations from the examiner;
• markup recommendations;
• information about the applicability of the step in the final inspection report.

If a custom form is added to a repeatable process, it will be displayed with a visual layout similar to the standard steps to ensure uniformity of perception.

Updated screen in case of disynchronisation

We have improved the prompt screen that appears when data is disynchronised when entering an inspection. It now has:

• more clear text explaining what to do next;
• added a button to exit to the list of inspections so you don't get lost in navigation.

Optimisation and fixes

In addition to the main changes, the release includes technical improvements and bug fixes that will make the app even more stable and faster.

Pending release on iOS

iOS users will also soon be able to appreciate all these innovations - a similar build is being prepared for release in the near future.

Bonus: Animations instead of static images

In some inspection step prompts, such as a circular video of a car or a walkaround of an apartment building, we are starting to use animations as well. This will help to better navigate the process and understand what exactly needs to be filmed and visually looks very appealing.

We have already prepared two basic animations:

• car inspection from VIN to circular video;
• residential house inspection - from address plate to front door.
