Which is most productive: VIEWAPP inspections by field staff or by end users?
31.05.2023
When deciding to modernise inspections in a company and digitise them, you should also think about the best way to make a smooth implementation and who to equip with the inspection tool - your in-house staff or the end-user directly.

VIEWAPP is currently available on the Russian market with several remote inspection solutions and VIEWAPP is the most advanced and stable, as it is superior in terms of functionality and technical support to other solutions that perform at least to some extent in a similar way. VIEWAPP is designed so that inspections can be carried out by any user, whether an employee, customer or partner.

Not all companies, however, are ready for something as radical as delegating inspections to end users straight away, as there are fears that can only be dispelled by using VIEWAPP and gaining a full picture of the benefits. Therefore, a smooth transition - first through the own staff and then through the customers - is the most logical one.

Let's look at the situation a little more closely: the company is starting a pilot project for digital VIEWAPP inspections, which is necessary to test the system on a small scale and to fine-tune the inspection scenario, which is tailored to the specifics of each business. At this point the company is at a stage where it needs to understand how to migrate its current inspection procedure to VIEWAPP, and it often turns out that the quickest and easiest option is to instruct its field staff on the new rules for inspections using VIEWAPP, where every step of the inspection has hints and it is quite difficult to get things wrong.

In this way, a team of on-site specialists carries out visits as usual in test mode, but with a handy digital tool that will process the entire inspection in a digital format, protected from fraudulent manipulation, plus issue the necessary digital documentation with the inspection results and the package of those papers required by the inspection regulations.

This approach does not require a radical reformatting of the company, and allows the transition to VIEWAPP digital inspections to be painless and rapid.

What can happen in companies with VIEWAPP digital inspections implemented in this way next? The fact is that the introduction of remote inspections has one very significant benefit - reducing the inspection budget by a factor of two. And the highest level of this effect is reached precisely at the moment when the digital inspection begins to be carried out by the end-user of a company's services or products itself, i.e. directly by the client. There is then no need for a staff of field technicians and the many other costs of face-to-face inspections. Therefore, the next stage in the evolution of VIEWAPP in companies is to shift to digital interaction with their clients, bypassing the in-house specialists who previously had to act as inspectors.
